How We Began
Our business in meat stretches over three generations and began over 30 years ago with a small butchers shop in the heart of Pendle, Lancashire. From day one we have prided ourselves in providing local, high quality produce, sourced from local farmers that uphold the same high standards as we do.
Over ten years ago, we began rearing some of our own stock. Firstly our award winning cattle and as our knowledge has grown we have expanded to sheep, pigs and chickens. We pride ourselves on our expert breeding which has continued to provide us with exceptional produce over the years.
Roaming Roosters was born!
We have always taken the welfare of our animals very seriously, and pushed to make as much of our produce as free range as possible. We began with chickens, hence the name!
As our title suggests, our animals are free to roam, living a happy, lively existence, feeding naturally on whatever the Lancashire countryside has to offer. Our livestock are left to grow at a relaxed pace, creating succulent and flavoursome meat.
